Led Zeppelin Sued by Spirit Bassist For ‘Stairway To Heaven’

Once again, Led Zeppelin are finding themselves as defendants in a lawsuit alleging that they stole one of their classics from another musician. Only this time it’s not a folk or blues musician, but a fellow rocker.
Legendary British singer/songwriter Robert Plant has signed with Nonesuch Records. The label will Plant's new album later this year. Further details about the CD, which will feature the SENSATIONAL SPACE SHIFTERS band, will be announced shortly, as will upcoming tour dates.
As part of his ongoing musical adventures, Robert Plant traveled to Mali in 2003 to perform at the Festival in the Desert. His time there was filmed for a documentary called ‘Zirka.’ You can watch the first episode in the eight-part web series above.
